With more than two decades of experience across global logistics, operational leadership, and executive consulting, he has built a reputation as a dynamic force of innovation, empowerment, and sustainable change.
Rutger's career began in logistics and production management, where he developed a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, process optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies. Rutger went on to hold senior leadership roles in multinational organizations such as DB Schenker, where he drove business excellence, Continuous improvement & quality assurance, and contract logistics sites, and Hyva, where he led as Group Supply Chain Project Manager, orchestrating global improvement projects and shaping the future of supply chains with entrepreneurial vision.

Rutger holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Supply Chain from Fontys University of Applied Sciences and is a certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt. His development also includes training in transactional analysis, professional moderation, and personal growth methodologies, along with the Wim Hof Method, underscoring his holistic approach to performance and resilience.
Today, Rutger channels his expertise into academia as a Lecturer at Breda University of Applied Sciences and The Hague University of Applied Sciences, where he inspires the next generation of leaders in logistics, supply chain, and project management. His educational philosophy goes beyond knowledge transfer: he believes that true education has the power to drive meaningful change, spark innovation, and cultivate leaders who think ahead.
