As a global supply chain and marketing expert, Ahmed assists businesses in transforming their vision into reality by successfully managing their sales and operations divisions and managing working capital savings to achieve optimal customer service levels.
Ahmed earned a bachelor's degree in 2002, a master's degree in business administration (MBA) in 2012, and a certification in production and inventory management (CPIM) in 2018. He has a strong belief in both the academic and "learning by doing" approaches.
Ahmed has 20 years of experience in end-to-end supply chain, marketing, and business development, initiating and leading successful S&OP meetings in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and pharmaceutical industries, and has held multiple key managerial positions in planning, marketing, business development, and business analytics. Additionally, he has trained over a hundred students in the fundamentals of planning and marketing.
Ahmed has also been a keynote speaker and panelist at different international conferences worldwide, talking about supply chain, sales and operations planning, and leadership.
His positive mindset and concentration have enabled him to manage, lead, and execute a number of crucial initiatives, to name a few:
Savings of $5–10 million through strategic procurement of raw materials based on a consensus rolling forecast with improved accuracy
Effectively led and managed S&OP meetings to break down silos, unify forecasts, and maximize efforts in achieving and exceeding annual objectives.
