Supply Chain Analyst

Derek Westfall is a senior supply chain professional well versed in the design and development of end to end supply chain solutions, with over 30 years of progressive supply chain and project management experience. Expert negotiating skills used to create collaborative solutions for partners. Advanced knowledge of supply chain optimization techniques which create a competitive advantage through overall cost reductions.
Derek is currently a commodity manager at Intel . Derek has worked at The Boeing Company since January of 2007 till July 2022 and has been a supply chain project manager for most of that time. Prior to Boeing, he was the Demand and Allocation Manager for Blount, responsible for all Demand Forecasting and Sales and Operation Planning. He started his supply chain career at PECO Manufacturing as a warehouseman and moved into production planning. He attained his CPIM certification in 1995.
Derek has been teaching APICS classes since 2013 he teaches both CPIM and CSCP classes. In addition to teaching APICS classes he is also an adjunct professor for supply chain courses at Portland State University. Derek has five supply chain certifications (CPIM, CSCP, CTL, SCOR-P, CSMP) and the PMP certification from the Project Management Institute. He also holds a Bachelors of Science from Eastern Oregon University and Masters Degree in Supply Chain Management from Penn State University and is currently pursuing his Doctorate from The University of Southern California in Organization Change and Leadership.
