Derek Westfall is currently a Supply Chain Business Process Analyst for The Boeing Company. Derek has worked at Boeing since January of 2007 and has been a supply chain project manager for most of that time. Prior to Boeing he was the Demand and Allocation Manager for Blount responsible for all Demand Forecasting and Sales and Operation Planning. Derek started his supply chain career at PECO Manufacturing as a warehouseman and moved into production planning, he attained his CPIM certification in 1995.
Derek has been teaching APICS classes since 2013 he teaches both CPIM and CSCP classes. In addition to teaching APICS classes he is also an adjunct professor for supply chain courses at Portland State University. Derek has five supply chain certifications (CPIM, CSCP, CTL, SCOR-P, CSMP) and the PMP certification from the Project Management Institute. He also holds a Bachelors of Science from Eastern Oregon University and Masters Degree in Supply Chain Management from Penn State University and is currently pursuing his Doctorate from The University of Southern California in Organization Change and Leadership.
